I make websites...
I'm Zac Sturgess, Freelance Web Developer, specializing in creative, accessible and engaging designs for websites.
I'm a student based in South Bucks, but with clients all over the globe, with industry experience. I give my clients a bespoke website design service, from design, through construction, testing and installation/set up.
I also offer PC troubleshooting in my immediate community (around High Wycombe), and am always open to pleas for help (even from afar), often giving free advice through my Big Mouth Blog and Twitter account.

Why you should hire me...
I'm a freelancer...
-
You don't pay my staff, or for a long contract
...because I don't have either.
-
Your e-mails are answered by me
You will never get a call center or accounts manager answering your queries... because I don't have either. You will get a more involved, one-on-one service to ensure your website fits your needs.
-
Unlike design agenices, I like all project sizes
Big design agenices consider small projects unprofitable and will waste time or sell you something you don't need. Freelancers like me thrive on smaller projects but love it when we can sink our teeth into a biggie too.
I'm a student...

I'm looking to build a portfolio
As a student, I'm trying to build a high-quality portfolio of sites. I'm not charging the earth, nor pushing out rubbish.
-
I build for the future
I am currently building sites to the new draft HTML5 standard, but still supporting older browsers, meaning your site will be both past and future-compatible.
-
If websites don't work, I'm like Mick Jagger...
When websites I build aren't fulfilling their potential, I can't get no satisfaction, so I'll often offer to try again at a lower price if the first try is a bit of a miss, because I can't afford to lose you to the competition!

Envy Cakes
Veronica wanted a website to publicise her home-baking cake buisness, and heard about us through collegue Lisa, of SEN Statement Services. Having a clear picture of what she wanted the website to look like and how it was to perform ensured her website was up quickly and efficently, and the ability to use the artwork from her buisness cards really helped to make the website unique.

SEN Services
SEN Statment Services write legal documents that set out the needs of disabled children for the reference of their schools and local government. The site needed to be highly accessible, both by the older systems used by government agencies and the newer ones used by the parents. The use of arrows and numbering in the navigation sets out clearly the best way to flow through the site, and the use of sub-titles & empty space helps everyone understand where to find the information they are looking for.

DJS Music
Fellow students Dan Smallbone and Aaron Mann started a budget mobile disco service and knew they needed a website from the start, and had little money to invest in it. I took a feely available base template and tweaked it to make it their own, and placed them on a simple hosting package. They now pay less than £4 a year to keep the site running, and they couldn't be happier
